Green Algae
Pandorina morum lives in colonies of 16 individuals inside a gelatinous matrix. In a vegetative reproduction cycle every member of the colony produces a daughter colony of 16 individuals. The original gelatinous matrix expands and breaks at some point, freeing the daughter colonies.
